Innovation – engineering – processes​

ETIA is a French engineering group specialised in innovation, equipment, and processes for continuous thermal treatment. Our company designs and provides plants for processing biomass, food products, and industry residues, which are widespread in the sectors of environment, agro-food and energy.

Founded in 1989, ETIA has developped units allowing a full-electric thermal treatment of dry products with various granulometries : powders, whole, cuts, grains, flakes, flours… Our technical solutions are used in the fields of Food, Feed, Pharmaceuticals/Nutraceuticals/Cosmetics, but also the biomass and waste valorization through pyrolysis.

Since 2019, ETIA has been incorporated to VOW ASA group, a Norwegian company whose name reflects the company commitments to provide decarbonation solutions to sea and land based industries.

With our headquarters based next to Paris Charles De Gaulle International Airport, that makes travels wordlwide even more easy for our dedicated English-speaking team with all the required skills from R&D, Engineering, Maintenance, and After-sales.

Chemical agent substitution Heavy industries (cement, steel, chemical…) are responsible for almost 40% of global carbon dioxide (CO₂). Replacement of the fossil coke (reducing agent) by biocarbone generated thanks to Biogreen process is an already proven way to reduce the emissions.
Headquarters and test facilities
Carbon Capture and Storage Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is also an important tool to mitigate climate change. When pyrolysing biomass with Biogreen technology, we convert carbon into a very stable form that can stay in the soil for century. The IPCC has estimated the sequestration potential of biochar to be between 0.3 and 6.6 gigatons of CO₂ eq. per year.
