Wide range of applications

Their application are various and could be used to change the appearance, the texture, the taste, the digestibility or the microbial level of the products. They allow raw materials that may be unfit for human consumption or unpalatable in their primary form to become digestible, tasty and healthy.

For dry products such as grains, herbs, spices or flours, the range of possible thermal treatment goes from cooking to steaming / blanching, passing through drying, toasting or roasting. These different applications are distinguished from each other by the intensity of the  time/temperature scales that are applied as well as the moisture control of the product and the atmosphere of the thermal treatment chamber.

Our electrified endless screw conveyor Spirajoule® allows an optimal control of these different process parameters. It guarantees a proper residence time control thanks to a conveying with no dispersion, and on the other hand, transfers thermal energy by regulating its screw temperature to the nearest degree.
